Reflective writing assignment criteria: In NSC 381 you were asked to look ahead

Reflective writing assignment criteria:
In NSC 381 you were asked to look ahead in planning for your education. You were asked to list 4 interventions you could do to facilitate your success in the RN to BSN program. (If you do not remember the assignment, that is okay. Think about what you had planned to do to facilitate your success in school. You will be evaluating this.) Think about this semester. Did you implement those interventions? What worked well for you? What needs to be tweaked? In two to three paragraphs: Discuss one intervention that worked (i.e. planning ahead for assignments) and one intervention that needs to be adjusted (give your revised intervention and rationale). This will help you as you plan for the spring semester. This is a reflective assignment. References are not required, however if you use an outside source it needs to be cited.
Criteria: NSC 383
*Explore and discuss one intervention that worked to facilitate your success in the RN to BSN program this semester.
*Explore and discuss one intervention that needs to be adjusted. Include your revised intervention and rationale.

Facilitating the Transition to Professional Practice The transition into professional practice for the ADN nursing role to the BSN nursing role can be challenging; however, there are interventions that aim to assist the transition. Meleis states that we all react differently to transition or change some of those reactions are disorientation, distress, irritability, anxiety, and depression.
Developing goals is a great way to help your transition into your professional practice role. These goals include-improving time management self-care, and to improve clinical skills. The challenge for this student is learning how to improve time management and organizational skills. The following strategies improved the student’s time manage skills; creating a to-do list, avoid multi-tasking; and delegating. Self-care is extremely beneficial and important for the student to get adequate rest, nutrition, and exercise. The mentoring process allows the student to work in a managed setting, which encourages the student to improve clinical skills.
