In part 3 of our text we will be focusing on different aspects of the Infant-Toddler Program including the physical environment, social environment and adult relations. In Chapter 12 we are taking a closer look at all the elements of the physical environment. What do we need to make a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for all infants and toddlers?
In this discussion/reflection:
Review the checklists in Chapter 12, appendix A: Quality in Infant-Toddler Programs, appendix B: Environmental Chart and the Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale by Harms, Cryer, Clifford, and Yazejian (web links and Pdf).

Instructions:
Using the resources above to create your own checklist for a quality infant-toddler environment.
Upload your checklist as a separate document in your discussion.
If you are teaching in a preschool or infant-toddler classroom, use the checklist that you created to assess what you might need to change in your classroom to make it appropriate for infants and toddlers.
If you are not teaching in a preschool setting, use the check list to determine what you might need to change to open an infant/toddler program in your home.
In your discussion post, discuss your experience creating a checklist and what you learned about the physical environment of the classroom or space that you assessed.
