In partnership with the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (CFHLA)
CFHLA Meet & Greets offer students the opportunity to engage with leaders in the hotels and lodging industry in advance of gradation.
Learn from/connect with industry experts,
Get valuable career advice and ask questions about specific jobs and specialties.
Also, opportunity to practice and demonstrate professional career networking and follow up skills covered and discussed during semester.
CFHLA Student Lounge Weekly Meet & Greets offered Tuesdays or Wednesdays, alternating weeks,
Informal 2-hour sessions for networking and Q&A about:
Careers; Pathways to Management
Internships/ MIT Programs
Part-time and full-time employment
Drinks and snacks provided.

Last Names Beginning in A-L (1st 8 Meet and Greet Dates)
If your Targeted Co. is scheduled beyond 8th week – just advise instructor in advance for accommodation.

TASKS/REQUIEMENTS
Attend CFHLA Meet & Greet
Develop a strategy and plan in advance (including research) to optimize this networking opportunity.
Create a 1.5 page (min) report (11 font; single spaced; normal margins; excluding headings) on this experience.
Include specific names/titles of representatives you talked with.
In addition to research, document 5 questions (As Subheadings followed with responses)
Along with whatever else you discussed/learned from them.
Include:
Preparation/Advanced Research;
Names/Titles of Contacts;
New insights/lessons learned related to coursework and assignment/experience.
Include copies of thank you/follow-up notes/emails message to each representative you spoke with.

How many openings do they anticipate this year?
What characteristics and qualities do they seek in competitive candidates?
What methods do they use to identify qualified candidates?
What is the name (or potential names) of the hiring manager for targeted role.
