PROMPT: Psychology is the study of the individual, while sociology is the study

PROMPT:
Psychology is the study of the individual, while sociology is the study of groups of people. This means that a social psychologist are interested in the individual, but in the way they act around, interact with, and relate to others. Because of this, social psychologists in the past have done hundreds of studies to see how and why people act the way they do around others, how they are influenced by others, and what we have in common in terms of our behaviors when we get into large groups of people. Once such study is called The Stanford Prison Experiment conducted by Philip Zimbardo in 1971. Please answer the following questions in your original discussion post:
What was Zimbardo trying to study by conducting this experiment?
How was the experiment was laid out, how many people were involved, and what type of people were involved?
Where was this experiment done?
How long did the experiment last?
What was the outcome of the experiment?
Lastly, in your own opinion do you think the experiment was ethical or unethical? Explain why.
Please use your textbook as a reference, or any other references you may find on your own, but BE SURE to site your source in the text AND at the end of your post. It’s okay to get information from other places to do an assignment as long as you site it in text (Author Last, year of publication) and as a reference at the end of your post. Do not use exact wording copied from your source (textbook, scholarly articles, etc.), you MUST say it in your own words.
