My PICOT-D Question:
In all adult patients diagnosed with diabetes at a skilled nursing facility, does the implementation of a transdermal blood glucose monitoring system compared to standard practice improve the control of Hba1C levels over eight weeks? For all participants, the researcher will measure levels of HbA1c utilizing Quo-Test HbA1c Analyzer at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the study. The DPI project will use a quantitative quasi-experimental design to answer the clinical question, an evidence-based guideline. Quasi-experiments share similar characteristics as randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
