It’s critical that you understand all the factors that make a customer a good candidate to buy your product. Pick one of the following products to conduct your own analysis.

Try to figure out who the ideal customer is for the product you chose. Assess as many different factors as you can think of. Who are your primary target customers? You can evaluate all of the following: race, gender, education level, income level, where do they live (urban vs rural). What motivates them? How many kids do you think they have? You want to figure out the perfect customer and tell me why these factors might influence them to purchase the product.
Now come up with a brief marketing pitch of 2–3 sentences trying to persuade the target customer why your chosen product is perfect for him/her. Discuss why you think this marketing message is the correct message for your specified target market.

I have chosen to discuss the Louis Vuitton Bag. These pocketbooks are highly expensive but so very popular. I believe most target customers would be those of the upper class who often shop in the malls or go on vacation just to hit up the outlet stores at the beaches and so on. Most of the target customers want a bargain on the purses even though they can’t really pay less than the original price the store or seller may be advertising. I would say your urban area homeowners would be the target customer as well. If people live in fancy houses, they usually own fancy items in this nature. These people typically have good jobs and a new purse coming out could motivate them to work some extra shifts or do some side work to get the new purse sooner. The perfect customer would be dressed nice and already have a nice purse with them so it would be easy to spot them in a crowd. Getting the customers attention with my market pitch would be “Are you ready to walk around in style?” Most of these customers are going to stop because they have the money to look cooler than the person walking next to them. Another way to get their attention would be to ask them “What is your favorite color?” This question could get them into what I have to offer. All these techniques would make for a successful business day.
