The case study to be assessed will be allocated at random, to the student on the day of assessment by the marker. This includes case study 2 which will be randomised between case study 2.1 and 2.2 Students are expected to demonstrate that they have critically analysed the cases and provided justified choices for the prioritisation of nursing assessment and plan of care that demonstrates a safe approach to patient care, with clinical decision-making supported by relevant and current evidence-based guidelines. In addition to their own self directed learning, students are encouraged to use their learning from the canvas modules and the workshop activities to prepare for the assessment, as guided by the marking rubric.
