I have included some information out of my ebook that can be used as citations. <
<
1) Present 2 reasons the author uses to justify the use of animals in psychological research. Provide at least 2 specific examples to support each argument, citing your sources. <
<
The first reason is that “we cannot make progress in understanding and treating diseases” and “to prevent further spread of diseases such as ebola, malaria, or AIDS” (Carlson & Birkett, 2017). The second reason is that the benefits from research on animals on strokes to prevent brain damage “is just as legitimate as using animals for food” (Carlson & Birkett, 2017). <
<
2) Twin studies and adoption studies are 2 genetic research methods. Explain how the methods are used to study genetic factors. Give 1 specific example for each method, citing your sources. <
<
Twin studies estimate “the influence of heredity on a particular trait” and compares “concordance rate in pairs of monozygotic and dizygotic twins” (Carlson & Birkett, 2017). Adoption studies “compare people who were adopted early in life with their biological and adoptive family members” to determine whether a trait is more genetic or environmental (Carlson & Birkett, 2017). <
<
3) Imagine you are a news correspondent and you are broadcasting at the World Series. All of a sudden you are hit in the ear with a baseball. What are some of the difficulties you may experience when going to work on Monday? <
