“Critically examine at least 5 secondary sources on a topic in the history of
childhood/youth; that is, you write about what others have said about that topic—for example,
identifying central themes that the authors address, noting the kinds of primary sources they
draw on for their interpretations, etc. However you approach this project, it’s important that it be guided by an explicit thesis or statement of purpose.”
