Media Watchdog/Media Ethics News Item/Initiative

Each writing assignment has to be a minimum of 300 words, with factually correct information and solid spelling and grammar.
The essay should have at least two paragraphs, if not more.
Use direct quotes sparingly; most of the writings should be in your own words.
All assignments are due by 11:30pm on Saturdays.
All assignments need to be submitted to the relevant module of the class Canvas site. Email submission will not be accepted.
Failure to submit the assignment by the deadline may mean that you will receive a “zero” for that assignment.
Please keep a copy of your writing before you submit it, to have as a backup, and double check that it was submitted properly and on time.

Your reaction can be a reflection on the implications of the news story/initiative, or whether you believe it is a good or bad trend or ethical response, and why. To maximize credit, offer a claim or argument beyond just summarizing the news item/initiative and indicate what website and date the story came from (citing your source).
