–Wikipedia is NOT a scholarly source!!!! If you use Wikipedia you receive an
automatic “F”
Scholarly Resources:
Here are a few guidelines but not limited in finding scholarly resources.
Review the publication the article appears in, University Press publications or what other writings the author has written.
You can go to the library or student center for help. They are very resourceful.
Wikipedia is NOT a scholarly source!!!! If you use Wikipedia you receive an automatic “F”
gins. The page length is a minimum of 7 pages in the body of the paper unless otherwise specified. There will need to be cover page, abstract page and reference page with a header, subheadings and page numbers as designed by APA format. The abstract, cover page and reference page will not be considered part of your 7 pages. You will be marked off if the body of your paper is not at least 7 full pages. If you are unfamiliar with APA style of writing please utilize this link: http://www.wtamu.edu/library/help/cite-it.shtml.
Important
In-text references are very important within your work. . You must give in-text author credit on quotes as well as summarized information that is not your own. Even though you have a reference page, if you do not place in-text references within your work, it is considered plagiarism.  This means you will receive a zero for your paper and could possibly receive a zero for the class!! This includes personal interviews. I want interview in-text citations and interview on reference page. Review APA for proper citations.  Make sure you double check your work and utilize the spell check along with your own visual proofreading.
Chapter 16
•    Make a case for Lance Armstrong and his hiding use of performance enhancing drugs. Do you believe that he should have been stripped of his Gold Medal a decade after he won it?
•    The MLB reports twice the number of players on Adderall than the general population. If you were a team manager or owner, would you make a player “proud” he has ADHD before you agreed he needed to be on Adderall knowing it is becoming controversial?
•    Make a case for using drugs that can give individuals an edge in their life. For example, define this—there is a new product on the market called “Focus.” This new product will help individuals who are getting ready to take a test, try a case, go on duty as a police officer or do anything that requires a great amount of focus. You have been hired to promote the drug. What would you say? How would you get the word out? Would it concern you if the FDA released it prior to knowing if there might be long-term issues with it?
•    Discuss whether drug testing should occur in the workplace. What types of jobs? What individual rights might be infringed upon?
