Understanding and supporting a range and diversity of learners – Although the learner (employee, student, user, customer) has certainly been involved in all of your considerations about media, information, and communication in this section, you will examine the learner him or herself. Who are the individuals that will be part of a network, organization, or e-event that you will be structuring? What tools and resources will you need for your learning network? And, what e-tutorials must you provide your learners so they can work within your expectations?
As reviewed in the first postings below (Users of the World Unite), select at least two of the social media presented and state what appears to be most relevant to your learning or communication interest, citing from the article the specific reasons for your belief
After reviewing the two articles, state why mobile and cell phone technology is becoming an important input device (as well as for audio communication) in general, citing ways mobile devices might work in your environment
Outline key differences suggested between digital natives and digital immigrants, reflecting on the mix of these learner types today; consider both the initial report from Prensky and the areas that emerged from the higher education literature
Consider points made by the VR developer and indicate where you think virtual and augmented realities might grow in the future
State the principles of cognitive apprenticeship and of scaffolding
