Instructions: Write a 4 – 5 page argumentative essay responding to the following prompt:
Prompt: What is the solution to closing the achievement gap? You don’t have to pretend to know everything about the causes and potential solutions, but you should discuss at least one potential solution that is worthy of consideration.
Format Requirements:
– 4 – 5 pages – double-spaced (don’t attempt any tricks to make your essay appear longer) Times – – New Roman – 12 point font
– 1 inch margins
– MLA formatting
Content Requirements:
– Original Title
– Attention grabbing opening
– A clear, concise, and defensible thesis statement
– Effective transition words/phrases
– Editing for grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization
– 1 additional page of “Work Cited”
Your essay must incorporate at least 3 sources. At least 1 of those 3 sources must be from your own research. The other sources may be used to support your position, or you may refute some aspect of the source.
