in this week, we learnt about the socio technical change and its application to companies. This theory is focused on the central idea that any change or system optimization in any organization can only be achieved if both the technical and social elements of an organizations are put into consideration when implementing change.  In the case of J& J company, this theory would require the streamlining of the human factor as well as the technical elements in the organization to achieve the desired change.  Therefore, the failure registered in the company, as posited in the theory, is due to the focus on one aspect of change while leaving the other not addressed.
