In an essay of 750 to 1000 words, please address the following: 1) Discuss personal and professional experiences that influence your career and academic goals 2) What made you choose clinical psychology and our program? 3) Describe your career goals and research interests/experiences. 4) Describe the role of diversity and culture in your life and in the work of a clinical psychologist. 5) Discuss some of your strengths and challenges in regards to psychology, academia and research. My personal answers that need to be included in proper words, you can paraphrase, it is just for you to have an idea: 1) I was a Behavioral Therapist for 3 and a half years, and now I am an Educational Therapist. I have been working with kids and adults with developmental disabilities for quite a time now, and as a Clinical Psychologist I would like to get more involved in the field and explore how the mind works. 2) I have always loved to help people and to know how our body and mind functions. This program offers me the opportunity demonstrate my abilities and knowledges in the practical and research area. 3) My career goal after I graduate with my PsyD is to be a licensed Neuropsychologist, since my previous experience has passioned me and I want to master my knowledge. 4) I come from a hispanic background, born and raced in Cuba.
