I would like you to read a short article and then watch three short video clips

I would like you to read a short article and then watch three short video clips that demonstrate different aspects of primate intelligence (particularly great apes). Here are links to the article and video clips
https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/speaking-bonobo-134931541/?no-ist

In the third video clip, Kanzi (a male bonobo who learned to understand spoken English by working with human researchers) is responding to sentences he has never heard before.
The video clips are short, so it should only take you about 15 minutes to watch all three.
After you have read the article and watched the videos, I would like you to type up a short reaction, at least 300 words in length, to what you have read and seen. In your reaction statement you should address the following questions (although you do not have to limit yourself to answering only these questions):
What did you find particularly interesting or surprising, or perhaps not so surprising?
To what extent do you think ape language studies (e.g., Koko, Kanzi) really demonstrate that apes can think and communicate symbolically?
How significant do you think the mirror test is, in terms of what it indicates about primate intelligence?
Does learning a bit about research on the great apes change your thoughts/opinions about the uniqueness of humans and human behavior? How?
IMPORTANT: There are no “correct” answers to these questions. I simply want to hear some of your thoughts and opinions about the studies documented in the article and video clips. At the same time, it should be clear from your reaction statement that you actually read the article and watched all three video clips, and that you have thought critically about them.
