Once you have watched the ENTIRE YOUTUBE VIDEO (I can see from my analytics how much time you spent), please write a one-page (or longer) report on what you watched. This is a fairly open-ended and creative assignment. I only require that you:

Discuss the specific pieces of music performed at the concert. Who were the composers, and have you heard of the composers? Do you know when the composers lived/what musical era they come from? What did you think of the music performed–did you enjoy it? Why?
If you watched an opera, discuss in your own words the plot and what you took away from it.
Discuss the performers and what your reaction was to them. Be specific about what you liked or did not like–were they captivating to watch? Did they do or play anything in a particularly unique way?
Use relevant musical terms that we have learned in class.
Use complete sentences and proper grammar. This is a formal, college-level paper. Pretend that you are writing a review that will be published in a well-respected newspaper. Speak more formally than you would if you were just chatting online. Avoid slang, abbreviations, or excessive exclamation points or emojis.
Use 12-point standard font, double space, and standard one-inch margins. Don’t play games here. It’s just one page–you can do this!
Plagiarism (copying from a source that is not your own and passing it off as yours) is incredibly easy to catch and will result in a grade of a 0 for the assignment, in addition to potential disciplinary action from FC.

Please refer to the rubric–this will be how you are graded. You can, however, ignore the bit about the ticket stub. I’ll give you those points for free 🙂

Also, remember that I know a lot of classical music…like, a lot. I am very nerdy. I will know if you didn’t actually go to the concert. It’s obvious. So don’t test me–just go and enjoy yourself! 🙂
