HOW do you want to engage your audience? How do you want to introduce this topic? What strategy are you going to use? A story? Facts? Statistics? Quotes? Questions? Imagery?

I’ve Provided the outline and this is the thesis statement outline they want us to use
Introduction:
You will start with an introduction that briefly offers an overview of your topic so that your audience understands why the issue is relevant or why this issue is a debate. Basically, you are giving context, and explaining the issue. You can be creative in your introduction. HOW do you want to engage your audience? How do you want to introduce this topic? What strategy are you going to use? A story? Facts? Statistics? Quotes? Questions? Imagery? (Techniques you learned from Unit 2.)  As you end the introduction, you will incorporate a thesis that explains the purpose of your paper. . You are picking the one that best suits your research question. You can fill in the template and use it as your thesis, OR, you can also switch some of the wording to your own style. The template is provided to help you weave 3 viewpoints into one thesis. This can be all in one paragraph if you want.
Viewpoint 1: Explain the position with supporting evidence from your sources.  State the opinion before you give a quote or mention an article. What is this perspective, or viewpoint? Meaning give 1-3 sentences of explanation BEFORE you bring in a quote or a source. Articulate the first viewpoint in your topic sentence (the first sentence of your paragraph). Perhaps put it in bold so that it is clear. Then explain: Who feels this way, and why do they feel this way? You will find the answers to those questions in your research. The viewpoint must represent more than one person, so it might be helpful to think…which group of people feels this way?  You will offer quotes from your research to support this view. You should have at least two quotes per viewpoint. You are using quotes or facts to further explain the opinion. Remember to comment on the quotes. What do they mean or suggest? Always comment on a quote. And do not end a paragraph with a quote. Do not put in quotes back to back without commenting on them. The quotes are evidence for who supports this viewpoint and why they feel this way.  This is why you want to express the viewpoint clearly at the top of the paragraph.
Viewpoint 2: repeat the same process
Viewpoint 3: repeat the same process
Conclusion: You will end the paper by sharing your own perspective on the topic, and why you feel this way. What shaped your view previously to starting this assignment? Why did you pick this topic? Has your research changed your view? In what way? How does your opinion connect with the other views of your paper?
