Make sure you have a single main argument about what we learn from putting the readings together.
As you prepare your thesis, consider connections and contradictions in the information provided, the tone, etc.
It is probably easiest to use one of the Slack and Wise chapters, but feel free to combine one of the articles on birth, for example, to discuss racial disparities, views of the cyborg, changing definitions of convenience, medical tech fixes, etc.
You are allowed to use Weise’s “The Dawn of the Tryborg” for either reading of this assignment.
Reminders:
An analysis makes a cohesive argument about meaning or significance. It does not simply identify, describe, or compare and contrast.
So, you should not have a thesis remotely resembling “X reading and Y reading have similarities and differences.”
Cite your sources carefully in MLA.
Watch out for the myths and fallacies common in STS (as McCray in particular discusses).
