Resume – 2 pages maximum; your resume will show a future date of completion for the program – June 2022 (or whenever you will graduate). You will not add fictitious information to your resume though – no extra courses or certifications (unless you have completed them already).
Your integrative practicum will not be on your resume as you haven’t completed it as yet, and you don’t know exactly what you will be doing in terms of responsibilities. The last placement should be your current placement (medical-surgical/community).
Cover letter – 1 page only. You will write the cover letter as if you’ve completed the program and successfully passed your jurisprudence and NCLEX (you may choose to include these on your resume, however, not mandatory).
Formatting: The resume and cover letter should also be in 11 or 12-point font. Resume margins should be 1 inch.
Job posting – your resume (objective) and cover letter will be geared towards this position. You may apply for a new graduate position or one that requires 1-2 years’ experience. You must submit a copy of the posting along with the other components in class.
