For this assignment, you are required to write a 1500-1700 word informative essay on the issue of “fake news”.
Your essay should seek to inform your reader about specific aspects of the ongoing controversy on the subject of “fake news” and how this issue has been reported and analyzed by expert commentators in the last five years.
The assignment does not require that you offer or provide any solutions to the problem raised by “fake news”, though your essay may choose to report current responses or proposed solutions to the issue. This paper is informative, not argumentative in scope.
Your essay may wish to engage some of the following research foci:
