For the final paper, you are expected to do the following:
Introduction to your social issue (Section A)
Describe the nature of the social issue in which you are interested. Consider one or more of the following to focus on:
What are the concerns related to the social issue?
Physical, monetary, or environmental
How many and which groups are more or less likely to be affected by the social issue?
Describe the structural and cultural intersections you perceive as being involved with your social issue, i.e., What structural and or cultural factors you see intersecting with the social issue and how?
Theoretical integration to the topic (Section B)
Accurately identifies whether you are taking a structural (Macro) or processual (Micro) approach to examining an aspect of the social issue.
Suitably introduces and represents the sociological theory and or sociological concepts you offer for understanding the social issue.
Logically links the sociological theory and or sociological concepts to the social issue of interest.
Discussion (Section C)
How might you propose to test, or how has your theoretical application to the social issue been tested?
What potential social policy implications or additions to general knowledge are there from your sociological insights?
