First: Do not let the title of this project mislead you. It is way more than a list of sources. This project is painstaking, research- and writing-heavy, and demands time. That said, it’s worth every minute, because if you commit to it, it will bring you to a whole new level of mastery, knowledge, and ease as a scholar and as the author of your braided essay.
You only need three sources. And of course, you’re always welcome to do more research and swap out sources, as long as they are scholarly sources from peer-reviewed journals that focus on Teenage drinking.
Choose at least 3 scholarly sources that illuminate the topic you are researching. These 3 sources must represent at least three different perspectives/angles on the topic.
Write 3 substantial annotations that include the following:
o You’ll start off with a Works Cited-style citation for the source (MLA format)
o Write summary of the source (3-4 sentences). Try to avoid quotes unless they are absolutely necessary. Put the gist of the source in your own words.
o Describe the perspective this source adds to the conversation you are investigating (Teenage drinking) (2-3 sentences)
o Put the source into conversation with at least one or more of your other sources (2-3 sentences). How do they compare, contrast, build on each other, offer new insights when you connect their dots?
