Essentially, all that is needed is to run a benchmark with different sets and combinations of caches, evaluate results and record the results in the given table, write a short discription of why, and then give a graph or figure of the results.
The tables in project2 (1).pdf is what needs to be filled out and explinations and figures made of them. Screenshots of the simulated run from the tmp.cfg configuration would also be helpful.
The configuration file that contains the configuration of the system is the tmp.cfg . The most important part is the cache portion to know what the configuration of the caches is… change the cache configuration to find the most optimal configuration. The users_guide_v2.pdf talks about each of the caches and the instructions (number of sets, block size, associativity etc.) that need to be changed.
