PROMPT: Our course, as stated in the syllabus, aimed to explore the complexities of the relationship between parents and their children. In a series of literary texts, we examined the many facets of this dynamic and reflected on topics such as generational and cultural divide, separation, displacement, and migration as they impact individuals and families.
The final reading in our course, “Magical Dinners” by the Korean-American author Chang-rae Lee also described the dynamics of a bi-cultural immigrant household from the point of view of a Korean-American man who reminiscences his childhood. He remembers how his Korean mother navigated the challenges of being an immigrant homemaker.
Write an essay that speaks to the specific challenges the mother in this story confronts as a new immigrant. In your essay, refer closely to the text and when you do, make sure to follow MLA style in-text citation rules.
Format:

A Immigrant mother, her endless efforts to nourish her childrens and mantain her home, the struggles she faces as a homemaker in a new Country putting her family needs above herself. In this article “Magical Dinners” by the Korean-American author Chang-rae Lee. He narrated the difficulties her mother encountered in her daily life as a housewife, the language barrier,social adjustments, and adapting to a new cultural costume.
