environmental

The assignments asks you to apply the seven principles from Field and Field Chapter 9 to a policy or practice, which certainly can be environmental, but need not be.
Potential environmental might include:
-gasoline taxes topics
-water or sewer fees
-state park access or camping reservations
-mushroom harvesting regulations
-Minnesota hunting permits and seasons (https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/hunting/seasons.html)  [I was interested to see that Minnesota has three different crow seasons.  This is curious to me as I’ve never to my knowledge eaten a crow and, based on their diet, I’m not sure I’d want to, and that’s coming from someone who grew up in a place where people eat muskrat during Lent, so it’s not like I’m inherently squeamish or anything, but, seriously, crow?  I just don’t know about that.  The state’s website also includes “Youth hunt,” but unlike the Hunger Games or some such, it turns out that this is actually a special time during which people under the age of 18 can go hunting, rather than some other sort of arrangement.]
-trash disposal fees
-state alcohol taxes (https://www.revenue.state.mn.us/guide/sales-liquor)
-fines for speeding violations or other motor vehicle offenses
While this list might be exhausting, it is not exhaustive.  If you have other ideas about topics but aren’t sure whether they would be appropriate, please let me know.
