Context: What has been said about this problem/issue in the past or currently?
Research Question: What, specifically, do you want to explore further about this research problem? (What two variables do you want to look into further?)
Hypothesis: What do YOU think (or guess) the answer to your research question is?
Research Design: What strategy did you use to answer the research question?
Where did you collect data?
How did you measure the data?
How did you analyze the data?
How did you quantify your data?
Presentation of Results/Conclusion
REQUIREMENTS:
Paper should be 5+ pages long (a page = a full page of text, 12pt Arial font, double spaced)
The paper should be about #2 and #3. Tell me about the data you pulled out of the trials and how you analyzed the data.
DO NOT summarize your trial(s) or do a simple compare and contrast. Your research problem should require you to dig into the trials and collect data. What constitutes “data” is up to you! For example, if you’re interested in the effectiveness of expert witnesses in Notorious Trials, maybe your data has to do with the number of expert witnesses called in a given trial, perhaps the number of minutes an expert witness spends on the stand, maybe the number of years of experience they have, etc. YOU get to determine how to evaluate the effectiveness of expert witnesses.
DO NOT summarize your research beyond the “context” part of your paper.
Please do your best to cite using APA formatting properly.
