Choose one of the five cases studies that focus on food clusters. Make sure that your two cases focus on different geographical regions in the world. Here is some general guidance:
Each of your written synthesis and analysis reports should be a maximum of five pages in length using size-12 font.
Use sub-headings to provide structure to the report.
Make sure you check the spelling and grammar in your report before submission.
Make sure each report has a clear introduction and conclusion.
In your report, present a synthesis of the case study. In so doing, lay out the context and the issues/challenges faced by the sector, the characteristics of the cluster being examined and the reasons it became established . Your analysis should focus on the role of food clusters in addressing the identified issues/challenges, and the lessons in terms of the impact of food clusters and the contexts in which they are most effective. Draw conclusions for the role of food clusters beyond the specific context of the case.
The assessment of your case synthesis and analysis will be based on:
Content of the report in terms of key points form the case study (30%).
Quality of the analysis (30%).
Structure of the report in terms of coherence of flow, ordering, etc. (20%).
Quality of written communication, including spelling and grammar (20%).
