BUS137 COURSE PROJECT
In this project, you will be writing a research paper. Each paper should have 2 research articles to support your topic. The research paper should be anywhere from 2-4 pages. I encourage you to choose a topic from our textbook that interests you and you would like to dive into more detail on.
The topic can be anything related to this course from your textbook. I will give you some examples below (feel free to use others as long as they relate to the course/textbook).
– History of Management
– How Environment Impacts Strategy
– Employee development and performance evaluations
– Current Trends and Challenges in HR
– Organizational culture and its impact on business operations
– The impact of poor/strong leadership (choose 1)
– Importance of employee motivation in today’s workplace
The paper should include the following:
Title/Cover Page
Contains the paper’s title, the author’s name, address, e-mail, and the submission date.
Thesis Statement (paragraph)
What are you going to discuss? The research paper should outline the key topics, arguments, or evidence your paper will discuss. Make sure you have enough information on the topic to support the paper.
Main Body of Paper (sections with headers)
This is the longest part of your research paper. It’s where you support your thesis. You need section headers (the headers should exactly match the points in your thesis paragraph). This section will contain most of your citations and analysis. This is the heart of your paper and you must be clear. You must have evidence to support your points. There should be no opinions since this paper is not in first person.
Conclusion (1-2 paragraphs)
After spending a great deal of time and energy introducing and arguing the points in the main body part of the paper, your conclusion should bring everything together and underscore what it all means. Your conclusion should be strong enough the reader can understand the purpose of your paper. (you should not start this section with- In summary or In conclusion)
References
APA or MLA style required.
You must include APPROPRIATELY cited references. APA, MLA format are acceptable. They must be on a separate page but included as part of the document.
The research paper must be submitted at one time as one document with references. Failure to include appropriately document and cited references will result in a 0. All papers will be run through SafeAssign and checked for plagiarism.
