Answer the Following and submit as a Word document.
Read Wilkins’ “A New England Nun” and Montgomery’s “Aunt Olivia’s Beau” both of these are available as PDFs in the class or just click the links.
Using the “Questions about the elements of Fiction” (Norton 15) as a guide, write a 100-150 word response/ analysis of each story. Things to consider are expectations, narrator, characters, setting, style, use of imagery and symbolism, and theme.
Additional Question: What similarities/differences did you notice between the two stories? What do you think the significance of these were?
Note: you will not be graded on grammar/punctuation/spelling—I just want to see your response to each story.  For your Fiction Essay, you will be writing a comparison/contrast research essay on these two stories, so use this assignment to help you start preparing for this essay.
