I am a first year student reading psychology. Pathway to Success Course Winter 2021
Purpose/Description: To express in point form your intended issue ideas for your paper; to help you organize
and develop your ideas.

Outline
The rubric for this assignment has 5 sections, each requiring different criteria in order to do well on this assignment:
Organization and Documentation – y ou need to include the major components of the ASC Hourglass of Academic Writing handout but in bullet point form (key words or phrases). The only complete sentence in your outline is your thesis statement. Follow APA 7th edition, for student papers, by including a title page, page numbers, double space the entire document (with no extra spacing between paragraphs and sections so be sure your paragraph settings are at “0”), and follow the APA rules for headings noting they are not required for this assignment. Please reference the attached link for further information as well as the APA forum in our Discussion Board: https://www.unbc.ca/sites/default/files/sections/academic-success-centre/apa7th2019.pdf It is noteworthy that I anticipate 3 pages total for this assignment. Please do not include a Reference page as it will not be marked.
Thesis Statement – you need to read and implement the ASC Thesis Statement handout instructions, attempting to answer WHAT, WHY, and HOW questions for your paper while being precise, dynamic, manageable, and supportable.
Brainstorming and Pre-Planning Proof – you need to upload or attach two examples. One sample related to brainstorming: Freewriting OR Concept Mapping; AND one sample related to organizing content: Visual Planning OR Keyword/Question Planning that you used to help you develop your outline if you are hopeful for a mark greater than 80%.
Content Connection – you need to connect to your final assignment for this course. What is an area of interest in the field you are looking at? Business issues, health issues, psychology issues, anything that interests you and can be found in research articles. Remember the bubble page? You should have climate change and animals, or climate change and oceans for example. How about the brain and studying? This will assist in reducing the number of articles, to review, for your next assignment which is completion of an annotated bibliography.
Clarity – you need to allow some time to review your work for common typos, such as sentence structure, spelling, or grammar mistakes. I urge you to read your paper out loud as regularly you will find words that are actual words, just not the word you meant to use.
