An introduction that catches the reader’s attention and mentions the title of the book and the author. You should also include a brief summary of the novel here.
A thesis statement that lets the reader know the theme you have chosen and your claim about that theme. It should be a general statement; you will use the novel and your outside sources to prove your assertion.
Several body paragraphs that support your claim. You may use specific instances from the book and cite them, but you also must also use outside sources and your own stories and observations about life to support your claim.
