1) Review the material from the Unit so that you are familiar with the topics, themes, and concepts that are covered. Remember that the last few pages of the chapter from the Bull book that is linked in the previous Unit are also relevant to this Unit.
2) View/listen to the three songs linked in the Unit, paying attention to both the lyrics and the visuals. (Note: you can google or look up the lyrics on a song lyric website if you would prefer a written version of them).
3) Identify three topics, ideas, concepts or other elements included in the Unit materials that a) distinguish digital social photographs and their uses/consequences from analog photographs and their uses/consequences and b) are exemplified in the lyrics or visuals of the linked songs.
Select your topics, etc. so that a maximum of one of them has a primary emphasis on the technological differences between digital and analog photographs. At least two or your three should refer to social aspects that are tied to the technological differences.
You can mix and match the sources for your topics and examples in any way that you want. All three topics can come from the same article, or from three different articles. Similarly, all three examples can come from one song if you want. Or, alternatively, you can refer to more than one song.
4) Write up each of the associated pairs as a separate response. In other words,
a) your report should have three different sections and
b) each section should contain both
A brief description of the concept, theme, etc. from the unit material that distinguishes social photography from analog photography
An identification of the relevant lyrics or visuals from the song and a brief explanation of the connection between them and the material in #1.
5) Upload your report in .doc or .pdf form by the due date.
