Instruction for the Introduction (one paragraph–about 7-12 lines in this short paper)
Please put a tentative title that reflects the thesis of your paper.
Please italicize the title of the play, A Doll’s House.
Please briefly summarize the plot in your own words (about 2-3 lines).
Connect your summary of the plot to your thesis. Your thesis should be put at the end of your introduction.
Your thesis should answer the question, SO WHAT are you trying to analyze in your paper? (not HOW)
Make sure that your thesis is clear, and the thesis has 3 analytical points (ideas, not characters) you want to argue and prove in body paragraphs.
Please avoid using expressions, such as “I think,” “We see,” or “You see” in analysis papers.

The structure of each body paragraph (the following 4 elements in each body paragraph)- Each body paragraph can be about 15 lines.
1.Please make sure that your second paragraph begins with a topic sentence (not about the plot) that refers to the first point of your thesis.
*The third paragraph should refer to your point 2 of the thesis.
*The fourth paragraph should refer to your point 3 of the thesis.
2. Each body paragraph should have at least 2 convincing textual examples (quotes with page numbers) to support the your main point of the paragraph. Each quote should not exceed more than 3 lines. Be sure to choose effective evidence that directly supports your analytical point. (Do not choose a quote about the plot.)
3. Connect your chosen textual examples with your analysis. (This is the key of your analysis. Make sure to provide a detailed analysis of your chosen textual evidence.)
4. Please finish each body paragraph with your restatement of the main point.
