Chapter 7 of our textbook talks about the Burke-Litwin Model of Organizational Performance and Change.
A few weeks ago, you may have been assigned to be a client and you have written a case story. If you were assigned to be a consultant, you now have a client story to read with a paper due later this month. Check this week’s announcements for partner pairings. Your case study (either written by you or assigned to you as a consultant) will be the basis for this week’s discussion.
This week’s discussion focuses on the difference between Transformational and Transactional dynamics from the Burke-Litwin model. To effect needed change in the case study organization, will you need to change transformational factors or transactional factors or both? Give an example. Figure 7.2 illustrates the transformational dynamics. Figure 7.3 illustrates the transactional factors.
