Write a letter to an official in your state or local government. (Choose the individual in the level of government that will best address your issue). The purpose of this letter is to advocate for action with regards to your chosen health care environment issue.
Summarize the health care economic issue that you are addressing.Keep this brief but try to include details about how the issue is currently impacting the elected officials’ constituents.
Explain the positive outcomes that will occur if the issue is addressed and the negative outcomes that will occur if the issue is not addressed.Tailor this messaging to focus on the impacts in the communities and organizations that are relevant to the elected official you are writing to.
Summarize key information from scholarly sources to support the importance of addressing the issue; the issue’s overall impact on health care at the institutional, local, state, or national level; and proposed changes or actions to address the issue.Cite at least five current, scholarly sources that support your argument and help provide the elected official (who may not have a detailed knowledge of the health care environment) with an understanding of the issues, changes, or actions that you are proposing to drive improved outcomes.
Identify the impact your issue has on health care institutions and health care providers at the local community, state, or national level.
Make sure to include information from both a health care and an economic perspective. An elected official may be more responsive to one perspective than another.
Incorporate social justice, structural racism, and inequity principles when picking resources and making recommendations for change in your assessment.
Explain how personal, professional, and organizational experiences have informed the resource planning and risk analysis for working toward addressing the economic issue.Think about how your experiences (the experiences can be personal, professional, or from your team’s perspective or experience) affect how you have planned for the resources needed to implement your desired changes or actions. How did this impact your approach to conducting a risk analysis on the project?
Convey purpose, in an appropriate tone and style, incorporating supporting evidence and adhering to organizational, professional, and scholarly communication standards.Remember to conclude your letter with a summary of your position on the issue and a compelling reason that the elected official should act in your favor and support your issue or initiative.

Develop a 15-slide business PowerPoint for the economic issue you have been work

Develop a 15-slide business PowerPoint for the economic issue you have been working with as your topic in the previous assessment.
Summarize the problem and the potential impact the health care economic issue has on you, your colleagues, your organization, and the community at large. This is an opportunity to tell your story and what the initiative means to you as a health care practitioner. Remember, this is a presentation. So, you want to be engaging and persuasive in order to build support for what you will be proposing to do later in the presentation.
Explain the feasibility and cost-benefit considerations of your health care economic issue, as well as three ways to mitigate risks to the financial security of your organization or health care setting.Make sure to present at least an overview of the data and numbers you are basing your cost-benefit analysis on.
Touch upon the ways in which potential risks could pose a threat to the financial security of your organization or care setting while you are addressing the ways to mitigate risk.
Support your explanation with evidence-based research or scholarly sources.
Describe the changes or solution that you propose be implemented in order to address the economic issue.Include the potential benefits of implementation to your organization, your colleagues, or the community at large.
Support your initiative with evidence-based research or scholarly sources.
Explain how your proposed solution is culturally sensitive, ethical, and equitable within the context of the community and health care setting it will be implemented.Make sure that your changes or solution are not unfairly burdening or disadvantaging any specific groups.
Double check that your changes or solution do not pose any ethical issues and are not culturally insensitive.
Ensure that both access and cost are equitable across all groups in the community that the proposed solution will be affecting.
Convey purpose, in an appropriate tone and style, incorporating supporting evidence and adhering to organizational, professional, and scholarly communication standards.

To complete this assignment you will select a peer-reviewed article that focuses

To complete this assignment you will select a peer-reviewed article that focuses on phonation in healthy participants completing a speech-related task. The participants in the study need to be human beings who DO NOT have speech or language disorders. Participants must also be engaged in a speech-related task as part of the study. Reviews turned in that do not meet these criteria will receive a grade of zero. No exceptions.
The following guidelines should prepare you for how to read and review a research article.
Please include each of the sections below under a separate heading. This will assist me in accurately and efficiently identifying each component in your article summary.
HOW TO READ AND REVIEW A RESEARCH ARTICLE
1. INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE
Typically, this section of an article describes the problem and gives a brief review of the literature pertaining to the topic. Your job is to read and comprehend this section and determine how well it sets up the experiment or investigation. In your summary of this section, you must include
A concise statement of the purpose of the research that begins with the words, “The purpose of this study was . . .” The purpose of the author’s research study should be stated clearly.
A brief statement that summarizes why the authors feel this study needs to be done. What background information has been provided to justify doing this study?
An opinion statement of whether or not the author(s) have provided you with adequate background material to understand the purpose of their study. Did they explain their purpose clearly?
2. METHODS
In this section, the authors indicate how they completed the study. Your summary of this section should include the following components
A description of the subjects/participants
A description of the equipment/materials
A description of the procedures used to complete the study.
Your description of each of these components should be complete. In other words, provide enough information for me to understand precisely who the subjects were (gender, age, race, health status, etc.), what equipment was used (exact brands and models), and what the subjects were required to do.
Identification of the dependent variable(s) that describe what was measured and the independent variable(s) that describe what was controlled in order to make the measurements (i.e., age, sex, and health of the participants).
3. RESULTS
This is the statistical section of the paper in which the author(s) indicate what was found. Your summary should provide clear answers to the following questions. You should notice that these questions are in terms of your understanding. Do not try to interpret how I or anyone else would understand what is written. Honestly provide your understanding.
Are the results stated clearly? Do you know what the results mean based on the author’s explanation of their findings?
Do the tables and figures help you better understand the data? Include an explanation of how they helped you to better understand or what about them was misleading or confusing.
Is there a clear delineation between results for which the author(s) find statistically significant differences and those for which they do not? In other words, do the authors clearly state that all the results presented were statistically significant? *** Statistical significance is a mathematical concept represented by a number and is not the same as the importance of the findings. So you need to carefully read this section to determine whether the author(s) found statistically significant differences among their data groups. It is important that you DO NOT simply state whether the results were significant/not significant. Instead, you should identify whether the variables had positive or negative influences on what is being measured. For example, if increased exercise improves (positively influences) breath support during speech tasks in healthy adults and that improvement is calculated to be statistically significant, you need to say that.
Finally, please include a summary statement (3-4 sentences) of the overall results of the study. Based on your understanding, what did the authors find?
4. CONCLUSIONS
In this section, the author(s) relate their findings to previous studies and make conclusions based on their findings. In your article summary, you should answer the following questions.
Do the authors generalize their results appropriately? That is, given the methods and results, do the authors stay within the boundaries of the limitations or scope of the study, or do they overgeneralize? For example, do the authors measure data from 10 children and then conclude that their results are true for all children? That would be an example of over-generalization.
Have the authors answered the questions they proposed or provided insight concerning their stated purpose? Did they answer their research question as a result of the experiment?
Lastly, include a final reflective statement (3-4 sentences) regarding how your knowledge of the topic was changed as a result of this assignment.
SCORING THE RESEARCH REVIEW
The research reviews are worth 25 points each. Specific information on how the points are awarded can be found in the Research Review Scoring Rubric.
FORMAT OF THE RESEARCH REVIEW
The research review must be written clearly and concisely. Proper sentence structure and word choices are expected.
The research review should be two pages (+/- 5 lines) long. Any research review over two pages long will lose five points for each half-page of text.
The pages should have one-inch margins on each side of the type.
You should use 12-point font.
Double-space the entire research review.
The research review must be submitted as a .docx file. No other file formats will be accepted.
At the top of the first page please include your name. Below that, provide the citation of the article using the American Psychological Association (APA) style (7th Edition). If you do not use APA style, you will lose points. If you are unsure how to format your citation using APA style please visit this website: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/general_format.htmlLinks to an external site.
Once you have uploaded your review to Canvas, please check the upload to be sure that you have uploaded the correct paper, using the correct file format, and that the summary has not been corrupted/reformatted in any way during the process. This is your responsibility to correct. If your paper is not readable or not uploaded in accordance with the above directions you will lose points.

First discussion
Sherry Turkle’s work discusses how computers, the internet and social media have influenced how we think and interact. Detail three of the socio-cultural or interpersonal consequences she outlines in her work. Do these consequences ring true with you or are these the critiques of “dinosaurs” (i.e. old people
One reply to

In her works, Sherry Turkle outlines several socio-cultural and interpersonal consequences of how computers and digital technologies influence us specifically:
1. Shallow Thinking and Reduced Reflection
In How Computers Change the Way We Think, Turkle argues that reliance on technology reduces deep, reflective thinking. The immediacy of certain information can lead to shortcuts in problem solving, especially in young students who may prioritize finding answers over developing critical thinking skills. This shift serves to undermine the ability to pause, reflect, and engage thoughtfully with complex issues.
2. Decreased Quality of Conversation
Furthermore, in the flight from conversation and stop googling, let’s talk, Turkle contends that constant connectivity leads to superficial conversations. For example, in modern day youth and some adults people will often choose the convenience of texts over in-person dialogue, making conversations shorter and less meaningful. With this in mind she suggests erodes empathy and the ability to engage in open-ended, face-to-face exchanges that foster real connection.
3. Fragmentation of the Self
Finally In Constructions and Reconstructions of Self in Virtual Reality, Turkle discusses how virtual spaces, like MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons), allow users to experiment with different aspects of identity. While this can be empowering, it can also fragment the self, as people may create multiple personas online that can be difficult to reconcile with their offline identity as they get more comfortable being online.
These critiques resonate in a world where digital interaction often replaces deep, personal engagement, though some might view them as reflecting older concerns about the changing nature of communication.
