The topic lends itself to a humanities approach. There are a lot of ways to go with it. I’ll look forward to seeing how you go with the
revision.&bsp; So… just in general, I’m really hoping that our next version of the paper will be more than just the addition of a new section that brings in the Arts and the Humanities. See if you can work on the whole paper as it is so far and make it make sense altogether as a hybrid/mixture of the
“cultures” rather than a set of them one after the other. Better revisions will be more than the sum of its
parts. No need to overhaul or start from scratch, though.&bsp; A few changes where they make sense to what’s here so far and maybe something near the start that makes clear what you’re up to now, given what you’ll have been doing with your new reading and thinking.&bsp; Your new sources and ideas will make what came before it better: you’| give your readers something to think about. Think of it as a chance to do something unlike anything you’ve done before.&bsp; A chance to begin to transform yourself, as well as your readers. We’ll be posting everyone&squo;s paper in our last week of the course, and we’ll have a chance to discuss one another’s essays.&bsp; Keep that in mind, too, as you work over the next couple of weeks.
And just another research idea: you can find journal articles in many of the humanities (philosophy, history, literature/ English, art history, music, etc) in Libraries’ journal indexes: once you’re logged in… in Library – 1) click on Find, 2) choose Articles, 3) click on «See all research databases,” 4) look for «All Subjects” box, 5) choose a subject, or go straight to &Idquo;Humanities,” where yoursquo;lI see the “Best
Bet” Wilson Index (&Idquo;Humanities Full Text”).

Discourse Community
How many pieces of evidence (sources) have I supplied to support my definitions? Is that evidence adequate, in your opinion?
What evidence have I supplied to establish that my community satisfies the criteria of a discourse community provided by Swales? Is that evidence adequate? How could I strengthen this component of my essay?
Are the examples and observations I use from my discourse community useful, detailed, and relevant? How can I tie my examples/observations more directly to the terms and concepts I am defining?
Based on what I know and have learned about academic writing, is my essay effective and representative of academic writing style? Do I have a clear purpose and supporting topic sentences? Are all my sources cited in-text and on a References/Works Cited page? How can I make my essay more effectively written?

There are a variety of literacy assessments that fulfill a different purpose in the reading process. Before selecting an assessment, educators should identify the reason for assessing students. The use of assessment data is essential to effective instruction and therefore it is important for educators to know and understand the basics of literacy assessment.
Allocate at least 4 hours in the field to support this field experience.
Part 1: Selecting and Administering Assessments
Collaborate with your mentor to select two literacy assessment tests you will administer to a student selected by your mentor. These assessments may come from information available in the topic Resources, such as DIBELS or EasyCBM.com, or you may use assessments your mentor provides. The tests you select may assess letter names, letter sounds, phoneme segmentation, word reading fluency, oral reading fluency, reading comprehension, or any other appropriate literacy skill. (Each assessment should only take 1-2 minutes to administer.) Administer the assessments.
Part 2: Analyzing Assessment Data
After administering the assessment, collaborate with your mentor teacher to analyze the assessment data and to complete the “Student Reading Profile” template as directed.
Use any remaining field experience hours to assist the mentor teacher in providing instruction and support to the class.
Submit the completed “Student Reading Profile” template.
APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

You have $2,000 – plan a solo 7-day vacation! Your vacation will be October 21 – 27, with Monday (10/21) and Sunday (10/27) being travel days. For this assignment, you need to include –

Put this in an itinerary format (you can use the templates on Google Docs/Word/Canva) and give a brief description of each day. Also include your links/screenshots to what you are paying for on that day. Make sure to include the costs of everything, and your total! The goal is to stay within your $2,000 budget and plan an enjoyable time. Put some thought into this .
