Part 1 (separate word document)
Facebook Crisis Case Study
Sometimes, a poorly worded or insensitive social media post can cause a crisis. In this assignment, you will review an example of how a fairly innocuous post about school lunch triggered a national media story and a crisis situation for a school district. Use the questions posed at the end of the case study to write a 350 to 400 word reaction. Share your thoughts on how this crisis could have been prevented and how it escalated so quickly.
Refer to the Ice Cream Day Facebook Case Study And the questions posed at the end of the document.

Part 2(separate word document)
PR Social Posts
While most news releases are written to generate earned media coverage in a publication, PR professionals are also using the content in their announcements on social media. In this assignment, you will research two existing press releases from an organization issued in the past three months and write social posts for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for each. The content for each should be targeted to the audiences for these channels and should include either graphics/photos or descriptions (creation of graphics or photos not necessary). Keep in mind that the most compelling and social media-friendly content may not be the same as the lead or headline in the news release.
For organization news releases, refer to BusinessWire, Cision PRNewswire
https://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/home/
https://www.prnewswire.com/
It is preferred but not mandatory that both press releases are from the same organization
Be sure to include the name of the company, a short description, a link to the referenced news releases, and labels for each social post.
If graphics/photos are available that are suitable for social media posting, please share. If no graphics/photos are available, then describe what you would use. Do not create graphics or photos for this assignment.
