Please Read Chapter 8: Violence against women in Canada. (McKenna, K. (2010)).

In this chapter, author Katherine McKenna offers a Canadian feminist perspective on the issue of violence against women. After reading the assigned chapter of this book, write a 600-750 word Mini Essay and submit to the drop box. The essay must demonstrate your analysis and critical thoughts of this issue based on the reading. You may choose to write a critical analysis (not a summary) about the entire chapter, or you can zero in on a specific portion of the chapter that caught your attention.

What Is Required
For the final, you will be asked to write an analytical response paper. The paper will be academic in nature and must engage with the scholarly texts we read this semester. Your analytical response paper should focus on a transgender health topic and use course concepts. Your paper must make an argument.
Analytic response papers are more than summaries of the texts. They focus on one problem or question that you identify in relation to and/or within the texts. The reader should be left at the end with an understanding of why you have chosen to focus your attention on this one problem or debate in particular: what is the relevance of this problem for you? Feel free to use news articles or academic sources you found to strengthen your paper. However, the core of your paper must focus on academic articles we’ve read in-class. Think of this as an exercise to learn how to write and cite academically.
I have attached and linked all of the sources that can be used for this paper. They all talk about gender inequality and transgender health. Try to reference as many as possible. One of the attachments is also more detailed instructions and rubric for the assignment that was given by the instructor.

Describe and analyze a historical event from the point of view of someone who was involved in a historical event pertaining to gender equity, feminism, or women’s rights. For example, if you wanted to write about the march on Washington (in support of the equal rights amendment of 1978), you might write it from the point of view of either a participant or one of the lead organizers. You must take on the character of a specific individual (real or fictitious); this means that your paper should be written from the first-person perspective. After reading the essay, I should be able to understand the details of what happened, the perspective of your person/character, and the varied circumstances and historical context of the event that you are describing.
The paper must be at least 4 pages and should be no more than 6 pages in length (about 1,500-2,000 words), double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins, should follow APA guidelines and use at least 5 scholarly references (i.e., research/scholarly journal articles, books, book chapters, historical documents). An additional page can be added for references and appendix.
