1) Watch this video carefully observing normal gait.

2) Post a short video of someone walking. This can be a video of you, your significant other, friend, or one of your kids. Make sure the person being filmed is barefoot & wearing shorts (If they are long shorts, ask them to roll the waistband up until we can see their knees).
Have them walk toward you from about 20 feet away. Then, have them walk away from you back to where they started. Ask them to do this 2-3 times, while you record the video. Make sure we can see the person’s entire body (head to feet on the ground).
3) Post the video and assess it, based on what you learned from viewing the video about normal gait.
Do you notice anything about the person’s gait right away?
Are there any gait deviations or abnormalities?
In what phase do they occur?
What might be a cause of the deviation/abnormality?

Perform the following two variations of sit-ups. Determine if the position of the hips makes a difference in performance of a sit-up and explain your answer. Sit up only until the scapula clears the table. Start with the arms at the side reaching forward as the sit-up is performed.

Perform trunk flexion (trunk curl) in supine position. Compare the range of trunk motion achieved with the range of motion achieved in a sit up.
