Make sure that you are introducing your chosen character and provide an explanation of their presenting problem from your chosen case study.

Explain key components of a chosen human behavior theory to apply to the assessment, intervention, and evaluation of the chosen case study.
Choose a human behavior theory. Examples include psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive, person-centered, feminist, et cetera.
Explain why the theory is selected for your chosen case study by describing at least one implication of the theory as it relates to human behavior and development.
Make sure you cite appropriate and relevant scholarly and professional resources to support your explanation.
Assess the chosen character from a developmental and person-in-environment perspectives.
Explain at least one theory about childhood development that applies to the case. Examples of developmental theories include Piaget, Vygotsky, Erikson, et cetera.
Apply a person-in-environment perspective.
What systems provide the client support?
What systems may be hindering the client?
Systems to consider include family, friends, work, social services, politics, religion, goods and services, and educational systems.
Include your chosen character’s intersectionality in your assessment.
Assess your chosen character’s strengths and limitations.
Develop an intervention based on a selected human behavior theory that is relevant to a chosen character.
Note the relevance of the intervention to your chosen character from your chosen case study.
Discuss two short-term and two long-term goals for the client by applying systems theory to contextualize the appropriateness of your chosen intervention.
Consider the diversity in the intervention plan.
Make sure you cite appropriate and relevant scholarly and professional resources to support your intervention.
Evaluate a chosen human behavior theory within the context of a chosen character and case study.
Evaluate the strengths and limitations of the human behavior theory you selected.
Compare this to another human behavior theory and note your rationale for choosing the theory you did.
Evaluate the cultural competence of the human behavior theory.
Evaluate your chosen theory’s relevance to your chosen character within the context of the case study.

Number of resources: A minimum of five scholarly sources. Most literature cited should be current, with publication dates within the past five years.
Length of paper: A minimum of 4 typed, double-spaced, typed pages.
Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.
Due date: The assignment must be submitted to your instructor in the courseroom by the end of this week.

The Literature Review should be at least 3 pages long and should include at least 5 articles. The articles should be obtained from the Library and should be empirically based. Empirically based means they must be a report of data collected from human subjects (as opposed to opinion pieces or systematic reviews of the literature). Meta analyses are acceptable. Ask your instructor, if you are not certain whether an article will be acceptable or not. You will already have received feedback about your Annotated Bibliography, so you can select articles that you used from the Annotated Bibliography, if your instructor found them appropriate. The articles should include a mix of quantitative and qualitative sources.
When you are organizing the literature review, write an outline for yourself. You can use the topics in your outline as headers / subheaders in your literature review. The literature review should proceed from topic to topic, not from article (or author) to article. This is what I mean: Author to author: Johnson (2012) says,…. Miller (2017) says…. Thoroughgood (2020) says…
Topic to topic: Johnson (2012) and Miller (2017) both indicate that wombats are highly aggressive. Burgess, in agreement, stated, “When they start to mature and hit puberty, they just hate everybody and everything” (2016, pp. 1). Thoroughgood (2020), however, states that this only occurs in circumstances where the wombats feel threatened.
Be extremely cautious about the difference between quotation and paraphrasing. If you use the original wording of another author, you must put this in quotation marks and add a citation with a page number. If you do not, you are plagiarizing, and this is a violation of the code of conduct. If you re-word the author’s statements in your own way, you must still site the source.
Be sure to include an introduction and a conclusion. The introduction should establish the topics that you wish to cover, in the order in which they will appear in the paper. The conclusion is where you summarize what you learned and point out what has not yet been studied. That’s the set-up for your research recommendations paper.

A key role a social work role in a medical setting is to critically analyze, monitor, and evaluate intervention and program processes and outcomes. Social workers are knowledgeable about evidence-informed interventions to achieve the goals of clients and constituencies, including individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Upon graduation, you have obtained a job with a local VA hospital. You will work in the surgical unit as a hospital social worker who assesses patients’ needs and creates their discharge plans. After the first few weeks, you notice that most of your patients tend to discharge home with home health care services. The patients, and their families, often ask the same questions about additional community resources and financial assistance. To increase efficiency, you decide to create a discharge plan template that can be used for patients who discharge home with home health services. You have also decided to include local resources that may benefit patients and their families recognizing the implications of the larger practice context in the assessment process and value the importance of inter-professional collaboration in this process.
For this assignment, include a brief statement that explains the purpose of the discharge plan. Demonstrate how you would utilize the discharge plan to negotiate, mediate, and advocate with and on behalf of diverse clients and constituencies and facilitate effective transitions and endings that advance mutually agreed-on goals.
