Scenario 1: Assume that you are a new social worker employed in a residential complex for retired people. In talking to one resident, you find out that he has complaints about the quality of the food, the limited variety of social activities, and the inadequate transportation to nearby stores and restaurants. Scenario 3: Assume you are a social worker in a hospital emergency room providing crisis services. In your work you notice that many people seem to be frustrated with the length of time they are required to wait before being seen by the social worker.

The purpose of the therapy centers on the difference in parenting styles expressed by Jose and Suzanne.
