The assignment objective is to make connections between sociological theory and your everyday life. We come across many types of media on a regular basis. What media (e.g., images, web pages, photos, memes, news articles, short clips, social media posts etc) did you come across this week? How do they relate to or capture a concept or theory we covered in class?
Instruction
The assignment consists of two parts.
1) Find media that represents a concept or theory we covered in class in the past week. Submit the image or URL for the media.
2) Submit a one-page write-up (~250 words double spaced) that briefly explains the concept/theory and describes how the media represents the concept/theory. The paper heading should only include your name and assignment number.
Please note that you are responsible for submitting four out of five media share write-ups. If you submit five, the lowest media share score will be dropped from your overall grade calculations.
