In Hartley’s Reading 29, Listwan and colleagues examine whether methamphetamine users can be treated effectively in a community-based setting, namely a drug court, without compromise to community safety. Please discuss what makes evaluation research a separate topic from other research? Why do we call this research an evaluation research? Finally, what can be done to benefit the improvement of the “drug court” program according to the research findings? You may provide your own suggestions from your understandings of the research findings. (You may find the article through Lamar library online journal. The reference is “Listwan, S., Shaffer, D., & Hartman, J. (2009). Combating methamphetamine use in the community: The efficacy of the drug court model. Crime & Delinquency, 55, 627-644.”) In Reading 30, what rival causal factors did those authors control for to attempt to isolate whether Operation Ceasefire was responsible for the youth homicide reduction? (You may find the article through Lamar library online journal. The reference is “Braga, A., Kennedy, D., Waring, E., & Morrison Piehl, A. (2001). a) First, after finishing Daniel Mears’ book, Out-of-Control Criminal Justice, in your opinion, which of the four critical goals (public safety, justice, accountability, or efficiency) do you believe policymakers and criminal justice administrators should stay focused on the most when developing criminal justice policy? b) Also, please provide suggestions as to how officials can stay focused on the above goal while formulating and implementing criminal justice policy. c) Next, in your opinion, is a Systems Improvement Solution approach feasible, or is it simply too daunting a task for officials to focus on the entire criminal justice system when crafting a policy? Take a position either way and fully support it. d) Next, what particular aspects of the book resonated with you the most? Be sure to explain how this particular aspect of the book contributes to our understanding of criminal justice policy and decision making. e) Next, what do you believe is the biggest potential pitfall or problem associated with using a Systems Improvement Solution approach? Is this approach still useful even in spite of this pitfall? Elaborate. In addition to fully responding to the above question, please pose a critical thinking question to your peers. Please remember, this critical thinking question is meant to challenge your classmates in a meaningful way, and it must be a graduate-level question. In addition to doing the above, please be sure to post a minimum of two follow-up comments. Please remember, all initial discussion comments are due Wednesday November 22nd by, 11.59 PM CST and follow up comments will be due no later than 11:59 P.M., Saturday , November 25th. Good luck!

On the natural world and using augmented reality (AR) technology. The augmented reality aspect is more appealing.

In SAO, players engage in a full-dive MMORPG game, immersing themselves entirely in a digital world using virtual reality (VR) technology. The original SAO movie highlights the danger.

And consequences of being trapped in a VR world, where players cannot log out and risk dying in both the game and the real world. This is due to the VR full-dive nerve gear, capable of reading players’ minds and causing actual harm based on neural activity.

On the other hand, augmented reality (AR) works differently as it overlays digital elements in the real world.

Unlike VR, AR technology does not directly connect to the user’s brain, making it a safer alternative. Both VR and AR, however, share similarities in their technical aspects.

Overall, SAO explores the potential of VR and AR technologies, offering a thrilling narrative that raises questions about the impact of immersive experiences and the boundaries between
