Empirical Article Analysis

Write a summary and critique of a scholarly journal article on a topic of interest to you. The article that you select must be a SCHOLARLY JOURNAL ARTICLE retrieved ONLY from a library resource such as Psych articles) This assignment must be in APA format (use Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association as a guide). 
Formatting:  Always use essay format, Times New Roman 12pt font, and double-space.  Between sentences always use two spaces. 
1. Write a 2-3 page analysis on an article of your choice from the psycharticles database.
2. In the body of your paper, include responses to the following questions:
1. What was the hypothesis of the study?
2. Did the authors find support for the study?
3. Discuss the logic of the argument (i.e., what inspired the researchers to conduct the study/focus on the topic?).
4. Summarize the procedures of the study.
5. What possible directions for future research have been proposed?
6. What flaws in methodology can you think of?
7. What would you do to improve the study?
8. What new research ideas do you now have that were inspired by the study?

The paper will be a critical review of a media or popular press article about some aspect of adolescent development or one that cites research related to adolescence. The article must have been published in the last year (January 2023-April 2024). Use a minimum or 5 primary sources (i.e., empirical research studies) to critique the article. These studies can support or negate (or both) that news articles and must have been published in the last 10 years. The papers should be at least 6 pages long and a max of 10 pages long, including references. Papers must be in APA student format. Papers will be submitted through eClass and Turnitin.

Write a 900-1400 research analysis about the impact social media has on mental health, describe the issue, and connect the issue with significant concepts, distinctive features, and critical theories in psychology. Also, include 4 scholarly sources and in-text citations no abstracts

On Disassociation and Dissociative Disorder
Thoroughly describe the disorder in terms of symptom presentation and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
Discuss treatment options for this disorder, being sure to outline both pharmacological and psychotherapy-based options.
Select at least one peer-reviewed scholarly journal article from the APUS Library related to your selected diagnosis. Summarize the article and discuss how it relates to your selected diagnosis.
The required minimum length of this paper is 8 pages, in addition to a required cover page and a reference list. Papers must comply with APA formatting rules, including font size and margins, and must have a scholarly focus and tone. Quoting published material and use of the first-person “I” are not permitted and will result in a point loss. All source material must be paraphrased into your own words and cited appropriately.
