The length and format of the paper is fine, but the citations are weird. I’ve been going through the paper making slight edits, and every time I check the page number it says in the citation, it never really links up. For example, the very first one comes from Ryan and Kellner pg4.

1st half a page short essay:
reading: When you use the word “behavior” in conversation, you may be referring to anything from the day’s weather to the failure of the photocopier machine to produce desired results. When psychologists use the term behavior, they think about more than the observed activity. They also consider what the behavior achieves for the person. This function of behavior is important in understanding why the behavior is repeated.
For this short essay, you will analyze a scenario from the perspective of functions of behavior. You will consider the circumstances of the case and describe what you believe to be the function of the observed behavior. You will also develop a hypothesis regarding the observed behavior and share ideas for how the hypothesis could be tested.
Consider the following scenario:
Amanda is a 14-year-old regular education student in the eighth grade. She lives with her biological father and stepmother. There are no other children in the home. The chief concern is that Amanda often visits the school nurse’s office with complaints of headache and nausea. The typical course of action is to provide her with ibuprofen and, if this fails to resolve her complaints, her parents are called to take her home or to her physician. These events occur about 10 percent of school days and always during the afternoon. Her symptoms and their rate of occurrence have remained unchanged for several weeks. Her parents, who are quite concerned about her health, have scheduled an evaluation by a pediatric neurologist.
Post your response to the following:
What hypotheses do you have about the function of Amanda’s behavior?
How might you test these hypotheses?

If you have ever shopped online, you probably have some familiarity with the value of ratings. Items are often ranked based on customer reviews, and you may choose to consider products by first considering their ratings.
Psychologists use a variety of tools and techniques to assess behavior, but one of the more established techniques is also based on ratings. Behavior rating scales are typically used to assess problem behaviors and social skills. They are often used to assess behavior in children by creating a scale that can help quantitatively measure the behavior being observed, allowing the observer to rank behaviors in terms of intensity, frequency, duration, or other such measures.
For this short essay, you will analyze two existing behavior rating scales. You will also consider how you would apply these scales in your practice.
Two of the most common behavior rating scales are the Behavioral Assessment System for Children (3rd ed.) and the Achenbach System of Empirically Based Assessment (formally called the Child Behavior Checklist, CBCL). Using the Walden Library databases, access the Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) and look up and review both of these rating scales.
Post your response to the following:
Write a description of each scale, including what measures, age range, and other pertinent information are available in the MMY review.
Describe how you would possibly use each scale in your practice.
Elaborate on the uses of behavior rating scales in the practice of behavior analysis.

In the field of applied behavior analysis, ABC stands for Antecedent-Behavior-Consequent. ABC analysis involves understanding the stimuli for behavior and the subsequent events that may act as reinforcement. Last week, you began to explore Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence analysis and how it can be used to help individuals examine behaviors they want to change. By identifying behaviors and understanding the triggers and impact of those behaviors, we better understand the “function” of the behavior and can, therefore, develop and implement more efficacious behavior change strategies. Also, you started an ABC analysis  on a behavior from your own life. This week, you will complete that ABC analysis and finalize for submission.
Assignment (1page)
For this Assignment, summarize your findings for the following:
Identify a behavior in your own life.
Operationally define that behavior.
During a period of 3 days, at each occurrence of the behavior, identify the following:
The time of occurrence
The environmental situation that immediately preceded the behavior
Your (or someone in your environment) response

1st half a page essay: Post your response to the following questions, based on the question from Akin-Little and Little (2019): Do you believe the concept of “intrinsic motivation exists, and, if it does, does extrinsic motivation have a detrimental effect on it?” Do you believe the concept of intrinsic motivation is useful for behavior analysts? What is the relationship between intrinsic motivation and extrinsic reinforcement? (READING for the 1st half page essay: Intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, and their respective impact on individuals, have been debated for years, especially within the educational community. A significant contingent of educators believes very strongly that intrinsic motivation, or motivation based on performing the activity itself, provides greater and more consistent motivation to continue with the activity. In addition, they believe that extrinsic motivation, or motivation coming from outside the activity, can decrease intrinsic motivation. However, studies have shown how effective external factors can be in reinforcing behavior (Alberto & Troutman, 2006). For this short essay, you will examine intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. You will analyze a question from this week’s Learning Resources, and you will discuss your beliefs about the utility of the intrinsic motivation construct and any impact extrinsic motivation may have on it.) 2nd half a page essay: Post your response to the following: Write a description of how you operationally define the behavior you chose. Include a description of a time-sampling procedure to measure that behavior. (READING for the 2nd half a page short essay: One of the hallmarks of any scientific endeavor is measurement. Chemistry, biology, architecture, engineering, and physics are just a few of the sciences that rely on the ability to quantify and to measure observations so changes can be analyzed and evaluated. Measurement may seem like a straightforward endeavor when dealing with most sciences, but how well does this transfer to behavioral sciences? How is something like behavior measured, and how effective are attempts at measurement? For this short essay, you will examine how behavior can be defined and measured. You will consider a behavior that you regularly observe, and you will develop a definition for that behavior. You will also identify a procedure that can be used to measure that behavior.) Please watch the movie “(Ordinary People)” directed by Robert Redford. (Please watch the movie and don’t use online materials). The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with the opportunity to apply Family Life Cycle Theory. As a part of this demonstration, you will be required to translate theory to clinical practice. Please do an analysis in which you address the following:
PART 1) SUMMARY: a) Provide a summary of the movie. (Please make sure it is brief)
b) Identify the horizontal and vertical problems depicted in the film. (please see the attached document, it will explain the horizontal and vertical stressors).
PART 2) ASSESSMENT:
a)    Describe what is constraining the family life cycle stages for each of the main characters in the film. (Life cycle stages refer to the phase of the life cycle that the client is in (i.e., transitions, emerging young adults, families with children; singlehood, divorce, death, etc.) and if that client is engaging in normative tasks of that specific life stage they are in and/or the shifts in their status, roles, rules, and relationships)
b)    Select the main character from the film (Conrad). How would you diagnose this character? Be sure that your diagnosis includes the specific DSM criteria from the following: Depressive disorders. (pg. 177 in the DSM 5 book which I uploaded it. Please choose only one disorder from the group of depressive disorders. (I personally think he has major depressive disorder) Please explain in the paper why you chose it by talking about why this diagnosis is the best option and its criteria and include the symptoms explained in the DSM 5)
Part 3: TREATMENT CONSIDERATIONS:
a)    What treatments or interventions are you thinking  for this diagnosis (I uploaded a document that has many goals and interventions so you can use as an example)
b)    Reflect on how you would proceed in therapy (choose between individual, couple, or family therapy) based on life cycle issues and your diagnosis. Use your best judgement.
c)    Explain how your approach would be different based on dimensions of diversity (e.g., inequality, social justice, race, class, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc.)
Please make sure this paper is in last version of APA format.
Please use the book DSM5 as one of your references and please find another resource (article) from the website PubMed only.

For this fieldwork assignment, you complete ONE of the below prompts. You only need to complete one prompt. Regardless of which you choose, you should write a minimum of two pages, not included the heading/title.
Regardless of which option you choose, you must include at least one quote from the textbook.
Option 3. Random Act of Kindness Activity-Related to Chapter Seven- Eight
Conduct two different “random acts of kindness.” ONE of these acts must involve strangers, not friends or family. Write about the acts, the way the person responded, and how it made you feel.  It is likely that your paper will exceed two pages.
In the paper, answer the following questions for each of your acts of kindness:
Why did you choose to do this particular act of kindness?
How did the characteristics of the recipient of your kindness (e.g., race, gender, age etc), as well as your own, affect the situation?
How did you feel while doing the random act of kindness and why?
How did the recipient react? Speculate as to why.
