In the event of a one-hour downtime, immediate action will be taken to inform gaming staff and redirect customers to alternative entertainment options within the hotel. Customers will be guided towards non-technology-based activities like board games, card games, or lounge areas. Personalized assistance will be offered to guests, and complimentary snacks or beverages will be provided as a gesture to ease the inconvenience. Handwritten records will be maintained for transactions, ensuring that customers receive handwritten receipts or vouchers for any purchases made during this period.
For a day-long downtime, efforts will be intensified to compensate for the absence of gaming technology. The focus will shift towards enhanced engagement by arranging live entertainment or interactive activities such as gaming-themed contests using paper-based scoring systems. Regular updates will be provided to guests through in-person communication or hotel communication channels, informing them about alternative amenities or services available during this period. Handwritten documentation will continue for all gaming-related transactions, ensuring customers receive detailed receipts or documentation for their purchases or activities.
During an extended three-week downtime, alternative solutions will be explored to maintain guest engagement and satisfaction. Temporary gaming solutions such as tabletop or physical games that do not require electronic systems will be sought out. Collaboration with local gaming stores or rental services may be considered to acquire non-digital gaming consoles or equipment. Special events or themed weeks will be organized within the hotel to keep guests entertained, and regular updates will be provided about the progress towards restoring the gaming technology. Detailed manual records will be maintained for all gaming-related activities, and guests will be compensated with vouchers or discounts for future stays, meals, or amenities as a gesture for the prolonged inconvenience.

This week (week 6) you will be completing your outline for your research paper which is due by the end of Week 7. This week’s assignment is a one-page outline for your week 7 paper. You will use proper outline formatting and address key points for your paper. Remember – this week is just an outline! You will gather your thoughts and begin to lay the foundation for your paper. (An example is attached).
Use outline formatting, such as:
I. Introduction
A. Main Point
B. Secondary Point
C. Include your thesis statement.
II. Body – Paragraph 1
A. Main Point
B. Secondary Point …
There are three parts to this requirement.
1. You will complete an outline for your paper that will serve as your basis for writing your research paper. Be as detailed as possible, using an outline format. Be sure to include references. Map your references to the section they will be used in.
2. You will post your outline in the Week 6 discussion area. Classmates will have the opportunity to review and recommend changes or additions to your outline.
3. By Sunday, you will consider those suggestions and revise your outline, then submit it to the assignment link.
The requirements for your Paper due Week 7 are:
In this course, we look at a variety of different human resource theories and styles. We also look at the different kinds of perspectives on ethical issues and how they fit into HRM. You are required to write a paper on a HRM topic. You will choose the topic you are most interested in. Choose a topic, and expand on it.
Some examples are given below, but it is recommended that you choose to write on a topic you have already encountered or you have thought about previously. Of necessity, the instructions for this assignment are somewhat vague. Each student will have to explore different resources and will need to develop an individual approach to the subject.
Identify, specifically, the strengths of your topic and what some weaknesses are. Drawing on various sources, explain the details of your topic. Assume I know nothing about this topic and share your research on it with me. Why is it important? What have you learned? What are the Pro’s and Con’s? When would this be used? What is the history on this topic?
Requirement: Using the terms, concepts, and theories learned in this course, write a 5 to 7 page (Arial or Times New Roman 12 pitch font with double-spaced lines) essay focusing on one specific Human Resource topic that we have studied over the past 7 weeks. You must also include a title page and reference page. The 5-7 pages do not include the title page/reference page.
Topic Suggestions:
Designing Jobs
Training and Development
Teamwork
Safety
Goal-Setting
Strategic Planning
Recruitment
Job-Performance
Testing
Task-Analysis
Reduction of Errors
Relationships
Action Planning
Separation

Be sure to incorporate at least two (2) sources to support your essay. Use APA Style in your writing and review the rubric for guidance.EXAMPLE ATTACHED

Directions: Read principles 60-69 in Siegel. Then, using Zillow.com, Weichert.com or another detailed free real estate website, pick out a condominium, townhome or single family home that you would consider buying (not renting) after working full time for five to ten years. Select a location where you plan to be living at that time. The maximum price should be $800,000, but you should work within a budget that you feel would be reasonable based on your projected household income at the time. Be aware that the listing may disappear quickly!
Part 1: Submit as an assignment.
1) Using your crystal ball and known information, describe in narrative form how envision your life and household after working five to ten years. What kind of career do you hope to have and what is the ideal location for your job and, separately, your home? How long do you envision your commute (miles/time)? How many individuals you envision will be living in the residence, including yourself. Also factor in any pets you think you might have. What is your projected total annual household income?
2) Based on the information above, write 1 goal and two associated measurable objectives that pertain to your personal finance hopes and dreams.
3) Search for a select a property. What is the address and county of the selected property?
4) What type of home is it (condominium, townhome or single family home)?
5) When was it built?
6) How many bedrooms? How many bathrooms?
7) How many square feet?
8) What is the elementary school? What is the high school?
9) Using Principle 65 for guidance, what features (e.g., 2-car garage, updated kitchen, etc.) and/or community amenities (e.g., swimming pool, fitness center, close to retail shopping, etc.) were most important to you when you were searching?Clearly explain what “sold” you on the property you selected.
10) Using the financial information provided for 30-year fixed, indicate and input the followingand answer the associated questions:
a) What is the listing price?
b) How much is the 20% down payment amount?
c) What is the interest rate? (You can use the one provided or confirm with your favorite bank to see what the current 30-year fixed rates are and update the financial calculator. DO NOT ever consider an ARM).
d) Using https://www.amortization-calc.com/ create an amortization schedule. Be sure the down payment amount is accurate and adjust the interest rate. Review the summary table. What is the total cost of the loan after 30 years (Principal & Interest)? How much total interest will be paid after 30 years? What is the final total, that includes property taxes, home insurance, and HOA fees?(Note: You do not need to provide the full amortization schedule in the submitted assignment).
e) What are the estimated monthly fees for the following: property taxes, home insurance, HOA fees? What is the total estimated monthly mortgage payment?
11) What did you find interesting, surprising or enlightening in completing this assignment?
12) What two pieces of advice from Siegel do you think are most valuable for house hunters and why?
Part 2: Submit within the associated blog after completing Part 1.
1) Cut and paste the website link to your selected property.
2) Include your answer from Part 1, Question #9 regarding what sold you on the property.
3) Indicate the listing price (from Part 1, 10a), the interest rate (from Part 1, 10c), the total cost of the loan after 30 years (from Part 1, 10d), the total interest paid after 30 years (from Part 1, 10d), and the total estimated monthly payment (from Part 1, 10e).
