This is known as competitive authoritarianism. For this paper, you will explore this phenomenon. Please do the following:

Identify and discuss the elements of competitive authoritarianism.

You will determine if your representatives keep their promises when they go to Washington and determine in their voting record aligns with Biblical principles and your own beliefs.

• How did your representative and senator come to power? (Briefly describe their education, work experience and political backgrounds.)
• What are examples of legislation your representative and senator have sponsored or co-sponsored in the last four years? Provide the title of the legislation, the year it was introduced,
and indicate if it became law. Did your legislators include this legislation in their platform when they ran for office? Does this legislation align with biblical principles? Explain.
• How do the interest groups – ADA, ACLU, ACU, and CC (or FRC) – rate your representative and senator? (Note: If the Christian Coalition score is not available, you may substitute the Family Research Council score. Include the exact scores from each of these groups. The rationale for this is explained in the presentation.)
• Based on these ratings, and the legislative efforts of your Representative and Senator, would you classify your Representative and Senator as conservative or liberal? Justify your answer.
• In your conclusion explain how your congressional delegation does, or does not, reflect your values.

Your project is to analyze your case and identify correlations between its content and how it applies to any topic(s) we’ve covered in the course (the LO’s). Consider how the court case and its ruling changed, redefined, or challenged the topics or concepts we have covered.

This will be a two paragraph, 275 word response.
In the first paragraph summarize the constant of the article and identify the thesis.

1. According to Tim Goeglein, what was President Reagan’s outlook on America? How would you compare Reagan’s outlook with that of the current president? Compare or contrast three specific areas of governance
2. Tim Goeglein discusses three major attacks on the Christian foundations of America. What are these major attacks? Provide at least one biblical reference, with the complete text of the verse, applicable to each attack. Name a Supreme Court decision which legitimized the attack and when it was rendered.
