Australia Research Project
There are two parts to this assignment: a paper and images. Students sign up to research for one country. The project will be to learn about the physical geography of that place. The paper will look at two aspects: 1)the affect humans and the climate of the country have on each other, and 2) the physical geography of that country including weathering systems, land formations, climate, air temperature, precipitation and atmospheric moisture, ecosystems (biogeography.
Students will write a 1200+ word essay discussing the country they chose geography including:
(Aim for 100+ words on each of the following)
1. weathering systems
2 land formations
3. climate
4 air temperature
5. precipitation and atmospheric moisture
6. ecosystems (biogeography)
And also: (aim for 300-500 words each)
1. how the climate of the location affects the societv of the location
2. How humans in the area impact the locale’s environment.
You also need a short introduction explaining what the paper will be about (no more than 50 words) and a conclusion explaining what major points were discussed in the paper (no more than 200 words)
Pictures and graphs are expected in their project- captions are required to tell what the picture is and the link must be put in the work cited
Think of this project like a chapter in a physical geography book discussing the country’s weather, landforms, ecosystems, climate, etc… You would want pictures to look at not just the info, hence the role of pictures
The paper must be use either APA, MLA, ASA, or Chicago style format. Students will have two parts to their work cited: Bibliography for their written information to show where the information came from and a pictures work cited (Name of the picture to match your caption and the link to where it came from). All must also use Times New Roman font size 12 and be double spaced and in essay format. Margins depend on your citation style. You must however have a title page which also must be based on your citation style. The work cited, title page, and picture caption information is NOT to be included in the word count. No quotes should be used and no paraphrasing. This should be in the student’s own words only. Not meeting the length requirement will result in a penalty. If the paper is 600 words, which means that it is only 50% complete, then that will be the highest grade possible prior to any points lost based on the rubric information
Only 2 internet sources can be used (no wikipedia or anything ending in “edia” – focus on .org websites). The rest must come from books. 6 sources are required!

Creative Assignment Proposal
The article is about how the greenhouse gas and the anthropogenic aerosol affect the hot waves in summer. There are three types of hot waves. They are compound hot waves, daytime hot waves, and nighttime hot waves. These three kind of hot waves become more powerful in the middle of 1900s in China. The greenhouse gas lead the change of the hot waves and made the hot waves increased in frequency, enhancement in intensity, and an expansion in a larger area. But the anthropogenic aerosol does not effect that much as the greenhouse gas.
I would like to write a story about two to three pages with the main character of greenhouse gas and anthropogenic aerosol. First, a factory product the greenhouse gas and anthropogenic aerosol, than both of them move to a city to make the “bad gay” hot waves even stronger. For example, the anthropogenic aerosol cause the decrease in convection to increase the temperature of the ground and air. That make the hot wave in the daytime more stronger. If the factory product more and more greenhouse gas and anthropogenic aerosol. The hot wave will dominate the city and kill all the people.
