From 2020 and 2024 multiple fires raged across the American West. While there appeared to be disagreement over the causes of these fires, it’s indisputable that the air quality in the affected areas has deteriorated. Draw on sources in the media, and your own understanding, to put forward a position on what you think are the implications for the greater American society of these fires. You may include pictures and attachments in your response. Your response has to be between 150-200 words long with a supporting source of the news you reference.

Idea of topics:
There are two topics I was thinking of: 1) roles of fisheries in the US for human consumption or 2) renewable energy resources for islands in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico has a problem with its energy infrastructure right now) Either topic would be good just needs good sources from papers.
